Leopard Slug (Limax maximus)

This is a very common slug in the UK and surprisingly is one of the largest slug species in the world, growing to around 6inches long! I found this one crawling across a muddy patch in a flowerbed at about 11pm. It was most noticeable for its size, obviously, but I was also really intrigued by the markings on it, which I instantly thought of as looking like leopard spots.
